Mumma Knows Best: How to know when they’re just not that into you (And What to Do About It)

Ok, we've all been there. You’re dating, you’re getting the feels, it's going somewhere and then…Boom, you’re ghosted, no valid reasons, no warning, just gone out of your life!

After having many of these conversations with girlfriends we sat wondering what the signs were (that we must have so obviously missed) or maybe we chose to ignore because that dopamine hit was just too much to give up?!

First of all, let's not punish ourselves for wanting that hit, after everything we've all been through to get to this point of feeling ready to date we really do deserve some fun and happiness. We do however, want to make you feel your strongest and most empowered self so that you enter into any new relationships with a sharp mind, with the view to enrich your life and add to it in a positive way rather than finding yourself months (or years) down the line stuck in a dead end relationship with someone who has emotionally dragged you down so far that you genuinely believe there is no better life for you.

Well, we are here to remind you there is the BEST life waiting for you out there. This could be you living happily alone or in a relationship, either way, our job is to provide you with the resources to make strong and informed decisions, to spot the signs and hopefully see red flags more quickly making way for whatever better path is it there for you!

Let's start with the basics, those warning signs that something may be going on behind the scenes l, causing you to question yourself…

Signs You Deserve Better: Because You're a Queen, Not a Placeholder

1. The MIA Mystery: If your partner's been playing hide-and-seek with your texts, calls, or dinner plans, it might be time to reevaluate. We deserve consistent communication, not radio silence. Someone having a busy schedule and taking a bit of time to reply is one thing but someone taking days and coming back with a blasé response is a definite red flag.

2.    The "Maybe" Meltdown: If every plan feels like a negotiation, and "maybe" becomes their favourite word, it's time to put your foot down. Your time is precious, and so are you. You don’t want to be just an ‘option’.

3.  Excuse Olympics: Whether it's "I'm busy" or "I have a lot on my plate," constant excuses can leave you feeling like the runner-up in a race you never signed up for. You deserve a partner who's present, not one who's perpetually absent.

4. The Ghosting Symphony: If your partner has a tendency to disappear without a trace, leaving you with a sea of unanswered questions, it's time to declare a ghost-free zone. We don’t need disappearing acts. It’s a massive red flag, and the reasons for disappearing could be all manner of things that quite frankly, we’re not here for!

The Empowerment Toolkit:

1. Define Your Worth: Remind yourself daily that you are a fierce, incredible force of nature. Write down your strengths and celebrate them. Remember, you're not looking for someone to complete you; you're looking for someone who complements the powerhouse that is you.

2. Set Boundaries: We don't settle for half-hearted efforts. Establish clear boundaries about what you want and need in a relationship. If someone can't meet you where you are, they don't deserve a spot.

3. Surround Yourself with Love: Your kids, your girl gang, family, or that mate who always knows how to lift your spirits - surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. A strong support system is your secret weapon and a daily reminder of who you are and what you are about.

4. Invest in Self-Love: Treat yourself. Whether it's a spa day, a solo adventure, or indulging in your favourite book, all of which we know can be tricky with kids but self-love is the best kind of love. When you love yourself fiercely, you attract partners who do the same.

Remember, you are a phenomenal woman, a loving mother, and deserving of a love that matches your greatness. Stand tall and let the world see the incredible force of nature that is you!
