Pregnancy friendly beauty buys

I remember being so paranoid during my pregnancies about what is or isn’t ok to use, it sent me into a panic and it was actually quite time consuming to get the necessary information on each product I had at home to see if i could continue to use it. But ladies, i’m no gatekeeper so here is a list of items that are pregnancy safe!!

  • TACKLING DRY SKIN - Weleda skin food - An all purpose skin saviour for face and body. It soothes areas of dry skin and combines a rich base of pure plant oils and beeswax with extracts of gentle pansy, calendula and chamomile. It has shown to increase moisture by over 17 per cent in 28 days. It’s helped heal angry areas of dry, itchy and red skin – an intensive redeemer that’s nourished and restored a healthy barrier at an affordable price.

  • SKIN REFRESHER - Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner - A calming facial toner that hydrates and refreshes the skin without the use of alcohol. I used this during both pregnancies and still use it to this day. It leaves skin feeling fresh without the tightness.

  • FOR MAKE UP THAT LASTS - Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer - I was a lot more oily in areas when pregnant so found a primer kept my make up fresher for longer. This one I’ve used numerous times over the years and highly recommend for a glowing base without the sweaty look!

  • THE ALL ROUNDER SKIN PROTECTER - Loreal Revitalift Pure Vitamin C - Vitamin C can help protect the skin from many issues, including sunburn, photo-ageing, hyper-pigmentation, wrinkles, sagging, dryness, and an uneven skin tone.

  • THE HYDRATION BOOST - The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and B5 Serum - Hydration , smoothing and plumping all in one product - Yes please!

  • REDUCING REDNESS - Ren Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm - My skin was SO sensitive during pregnancy, if I even touched it gently it would instantly go pink, I wish I had this balm back then. This is a newer skin care discovery but one I now cant live without. It reduces redness or skin and I also feel like it helps reduce breakouts quicker.

THE FAKE TAN - Tan Luxe The Gradual - I found having a bit of a glow throughout pregnancy gave me a real boost when I needed it and evened out my skin tone (which decided to have a mind of its own!) I swear by this gradual tan, you can build it up over a couple of days and then you will get a weeks worth fo glow. It also goes on like a cream so its super easy to apply and pretty patch proof, it applies with ease and doesn’t smell or stain your sheets…hoorah! This is still my fake tan of choice to this day.

  • CLEANSER - Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm - The OG of cleansing balms is thankfully pregnancy safe. This removes make up including mascara with so much ease so it’s gentle on the skin and a little goes along way. I would double cleanse after this balm but you can use it on its own too.
