Christmas: Our Children’s Gift Guide

'I want that please Mummy' is all I've heard lately thanks to YouTube adverts on repeat in between endless episodes of Ruby And Bonnie (I think I need to stage an intervention on this one as Raine is obsessed!) but it has made putting together my daughters Christmas gift list that little bit easier. *

Here's my top gender neutral picks for toddlers this year, I've tried to find the best deal on each item I could and cover a variety of interests!’

8) BATH BOMBS WITH HIDDEN TOYS INSIDE

Both my girls are obsessed with bath bombs, I sometimes have to use bath bombs as a way to get them into the bath on those days when my eldest has decided she doesnt need a bath! Bath bombs can turn bath time into a sensory adventure, making it an exciting part of the day and not turn it into a chore. They come in a variety of kid-friendly scents and colors, adding an element of fun to the bath routine. These also have a miniature toy waiting inside making them even more special. These ones are from Amazon - Winner!

9) TROLLS MINEEZ

Both of the girls are Poppy obsessed so these are going in my shopping bag for sure. These tiny collectible figures bring the vibrant and whimsical world of Trolls right into your child's hands. With their adorable, pocket-sized designs, they're perfect for imaginative play and on-the-go adventures. They encourage creativity but also offer a fun way for kids to learn about friendship and sharing, just like Poppy and her friends do in the Trolls movie, super cute.

10) POP STYLE BRACELET MAKER

The perfect gift for creativity, fashion, and fun. Little ones can express their unique style and create beautiful, personalized bracelets with a variety of colorful beads (Just keep these away from little ones as my youngest seems to love pouring the beads all over my kitchen floor!!) This one has an easy-to-use design which encourages fine motor skills and artistic flair. They can craft their own accessories and proudly wear their creations, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-expression. This should provide hours of creative play and the development of a unique sense of fashion.

11) KIDS CAMERA

We already have this, the girls got it as a gift for their birthdays and it is still used most days now. This user-friendly option captures memories with ease and encourages creativity whilst teaching them the art of storytelling and observation. Plus, it provides an excellent opportunity to spend quality time exploring the world together, whether it's in your own garden or on family outings they can document it all. Just go through and double check it now and then, there's often times i've found a million shots of my zoomed in double chin!!

12) Pop up Pirate

This brings back all the memories for me, i played this over and over again with my sisters so i actually got this a while ago for the girls. This classic game is a fantastic choice for toddlers, as it combines simple gameplay with lots of fun. The anticipation of the pirate popping up keeps kids engaged and giggling, making it an ideal way to promote fine motor skills and social interaction. Whether it's a game night with the family or playtime with friends, Pop Up Pirate is such a cute addition to your child's toy collection, promising hours of laughter and excitement.

13) ANIMAL TORCH AND PROJECTOR

My eldest often tried to use a torch I have at home and so I got her a mini one that had a mini projector inside with fairies that she can project onto anywhere and she is obsessed with it, my youngest of course also wanted to play with it but they both find it fascinating and enjoy changing the scenes ad discovering what's next. I wish i found this animal one as both girls are animal obsessed. It's a fantastic way to introduce your little one to the animal kingdom and ignite their curiosity about the world around them. The Animal Torch and Projector is not only educational but also a source of endless fun, making it a thoughtful and engaging gift that will light up your child's imagination.

14) PEPPA PIG PUZZLE

I am puzzle obsessed, every Christmas I force everyone to take part in a massive puzzle and this must have rubbed off on both girls as they now also love puzzles. We already have a similar Peppa Pig set which we often get out and reuse over and over again, I like that this one has 10 options inside so they don't get bored. Puzzles also foster essential cognitive and fine motor skills as kids assemble the pieces. The colourful and familiar Peppa Pig characters add an element of excitement to problem-solving, making it a wonderful way to engage young minds and encourage concentration. This holiday season, give the gift of learning through play with a Peppa Pig Puzzle, and watch your child's confidence and problem-solving abilities grow.

15) TONIES BOX STARTER KIT

I’ve had a Tonies box since my eldest was tiny. It is still used everyday so has been worth every penny. You can purchase different Tonies characters that sit on top of the box and read aloud or sing alongs to the story of the character, Poppy from Trolls and Peppa Pig are both on repeat in our house. With the Tonies Box Starter Kit children can enjoy their favourite stories and songs by simply placing a Tonie character on the box, triggering hours of interactive and imaginative play. It's a magical way to introduce young ones to the joys of literature and music. Plus, the Tonies Box encourages independent play and fosters a love for storytelling, all while providing a safe and child-friendly listening experience. Also when friends and family ask me what the girls would like for birthdays or Christmas I usually suggest a new Tonies character they don't have yet, each character varies in price but averages at around £15.

16) LEARNING TOWER KITCHEN HELPER

I got one of these over a year ago now and it's another item that gets used on a daily basis, I'm actually considering getting a second one to stop the girls bickering as they both now try to squeeze on to the same one! This innovative tool allows kids to safely step up to counter height, engaging them in the magic of cooking, baking, and other kitchen activities and basically stopped them from pulling at my trousers all the time and asking me to lift them up when I was busy in the kitchen! Not only does it foster independence and a sense of accomplishment, but it also provides valuable educational experiences. Your child can learn about ingredients, measurements, and the joy of creating delicious treats alongside you. It's a wonderful way to encourage healthy habits and family togetherness, making it a thoughtful and useful gift that will be cherished long after the holiday season has passed.

17) SCOOTER

I've lost count of the amount of times my eldest has said 'Mummy I don't want to walk anymore, carry meeeee' and now i'm a single mum it just isn't an option to carry one and push the other in a buggy so I started getting creative and suggested she takes her scooter, she loves it! She will happily scoot all the way home from school now and then wants to scoot again once we're home. The one we have is pretty pricey as you can switch it up from a seat to a standing scooter but I found this option online that I think looks really good for around the £50 mark.

18) Kids Karaoke Machine

Ok, so don’t hate me for this one but I thought this was a great gift for a child who loves to sing! With built in speaker, flashing LED lights and two small microphones. It's light and portable and incorporates a universal phone/tablet cradle. Record and playback functions, echo effect and a fun male to female, female to male, baby voice changer will have the kids singing all day long. So much fun for Christmas day and the adults can even get involved too!
